April 6th 2017:- Difficult and halting work today. I filled in a few holes here and there, always a useful thing to do, but I’m being slow and hesitant in progressing the story, but I did all the research I needed about how fake séances were managed. Actually, I can’t wait to get away from my desk this morning and hang out doing nothing. I’m pretty tired by now, but I am on the home run, and I don’t know how I have managed it, but I’m still turning out roughly 1,000 words a day. The women below are the Fox sisters, who began the whole weird spiritualist craze in 1848.
