Strong-hearted stories, dark & funny

56. WRITING THE CHILD CEPHALINA

April 10th 2017:- Still going and still writing about 1,000 words a day. The word count is now up to 68 thousand. I feel tired though and sense that I’ll be embellishing these last few days’ work quite a bit when I start on the second draft. In my tiredness, I have a lot less to say about the process and the story. I’m just looking forward to the time when I’m involved in the second draft of it and I can tune everything up, ask some hard questions of it, embellish it and so on. The picture might be one of London fog something that I wrote into the story right at the beginning as everything began in winter and fog is atmospheric. Now, in the story it is late August and I might spin it out to the next January and get some more fog in there.
